These terms apply when you book a journey with us. They are written to be understood on one reading. Booking means you accept them, so they are worth five minutes of your time.

What the price includes
Guiding, the accommodation listed, ground transport on the itinerary, permits, and the meals named in the journey description. It does not include flights, travel insurance, visas, tips, or anything the itinerary calls optional.

If you change your plans
Name changes are free until [30 days] before departure. Moving to another departure costs [an administration fee of X] if we can fill your place, and counts as a cancellation if we cannot.

If we change or cancel
Weather, access and safety decide more than we do. If we cancel before departure you choose a full refund or a credit valid for [24 months]. If we cancel or shorten a journey once it has begun, we refund the unused part of the ground cost. Flights you booked separately are not ours to refund.

Journeys run with a minimum of [4] travellers. If we have not reached that number [45 days] before departure we tell you and offer a refund or another date.

Insurance is not optional
You must hold travel insurance covering cancellation, medical treatment, evacuation and repatriation for the terrain involved. We ask for the policy number before departure and can refuse to start without it.

Fitness and honesty
Every journey states the fitness it demands. Book the one that matches you, and tell us about anything that could affect your safety or the safety of the people walking with you. We can decline or end a booking if the description turns out not to match.

On the ground
The guide has the final word on route, timing and turning back. Following that judgement is a condition of travelling with us. Remote places carry risk that no amount of planning removes, and you accept that risk when you book.

Liability
We are responsible for arranging the journey described, with reasonable skill and care. We are not liable for events outside our reasonable control, nor for losses that were not foreseeable. Nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit.

Complaints and law
Tell your guide first — most things are fixable on the spot. Anything still unresolved goes to [hello@yourdomain.com] within [28 days] of your return, and we reply within [14 days]. These terms are governed by the law of [jurisdiction].
