You cannot drive here, and that filters everything.
Helicopter or nothing for the valleys worth reaching. It is expensive, and it is the reason there are eleven of us at the geysers instead of eleven hundred.

The bears are wild and we behave accordingly.
No feeding, no baiting, and never closer than fifty metres. We watch from a platform and some days we watch nothing at all. That is what wild means, and it is the whole point.

Fog grounds the helicopters. Everyone here knows that; very few build for it. We hold two days in reserve so the ones that matter still happen.
